8-shelf hotel can hold a variety of 96-deep well and 384-deep well, V-, and U-bottom plates on the SAGIAN™ 180 CO2 incubator. It is a specially designed product by Forma Scientific for use with SAGIAN™ Core Systems. Well known for quality, performance and reliability, the Forma CO2 incubator provides robot access and automatic control with SAMI® NT scheduling software.The incubator is capable of holding up to 180 standard microplates within a microplate storage hotel carousel (hotels not included). The incubator has been modified by installing a motorized, sliding door through which the ORCA® Robot can retrieve the plates.The carousel rotates to position the desired plate in front of the access door. To minimize CO2 loss when the incubator is opened, sensors have been incorporated to alert the SAMI® NT software as to when to proceed with the insertion or removal of plates. The large, light-shielded insulated door on the front of the incubator allows manual loading and unloading of the incubator. The large capacity permits assays with long (18-24 hour) incubations to remain on the robotic system for the entire duration. Control of the temperatureand the atmospheric concentration of CO2 is accomplished by digital control, allowing the user to manually set the desired conditions.
