** Caps are optional. The filling level is 7.5 mL in Type 70 Ti rotor, 8 mL in Type 50.2 Ti rotor and Type 45 Ti rotor. Maximum speeds for this open-top tubes without a cap is 45,000 rpm for Type 70 Ti rotor and Type 50.2 Ti rotor. This is the speed where the tubes could withstand when tested at 25°C for 24 hours. Further tests have shown that the polycarbonate tube can run at 50 000 rpm for four hours. For Type 45 Ti rotor, the maximum speed is 30,000 rpm.
