ABTS (2,2'-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) is a soluble, safe, convenient substrate for ELISA applications employing horseradish peroxidase-labeled reagents. It develops an intense blue-green color measureable between 405 nm and 410 nm. It may be used for both kinetic and endpoint reactions. ABTS is supplied in both powder form and as a ready to use single component system.
