Within your first year, you will be participating in real-world research and development projects. As part of the Innovation Fellowship Program, you will rotate among our technologies and locations to gain a broad company perspective, including the diverse opportunities we offer.

The Innovation Fellowship Program is open to students who are getting their Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D degrees in one of the following areas:

Program Overview
The Innovation Fellowship Program is an extremely exciting opportunity. Over the course of the one-year program, you will participate in four assignments, each lasting three-months. During each rotation you will be given a challenging project to work on. Three of the project assignments will be within the Instrument Systems Development Center (ISDC) working on challenging research and development projects. One assignment will be outside the ISDC such as: Quality, Finance, Applications, Manufacturing, etc. During this one year rotation period, the employee must work out of at least three of the following locations:
Opportunity to Travel
During this one-year rotational period, employees travel across the nation, expanding their knowledge in various technologies in development, but also networking and building relationships in a team environment. Program participants will spend a rotation in at least three of the four primary U.S. locations

- Indianapolis, IN
- Minneapolis, MN
Accelerated Career Development
At the end of the Innovation Fellowship year, employees may then be permanently assigned to a location based on business need and employee interest. The exposure to multiple technologies, cultures and fellow co-workers across the organization will help jumpstart your career as an engineer with Beckman Coulter and pave the path to success.
Common Questions
Where will I live at each location?
During this one year rotational program, all housing costs will be taken care of, you will stay in a 1 bedroom, corporate, furnished apartment.
How will I get from place to place?
You will fly from each location to the next. All airfare will be taken care of. After reaching each destination, you will be provided a rental car.
Who do I turn to with questions about the different projects?
You will be assigned a Program Mentor who will work with you throughout the year. In addition, upon arriving at each site, a Project Lead will be assigned to each member to ensure they become acclimated to the Beckman Coulter location and the surrounding area.
