Labware Holders
|

Biomek Labware Holders allow placement of pipette tip racks, multiwell plates, reservoir holders, 24-place tube racks and test tube racks on the Biomek 3000 worksurface. The labware and pipette tip rack holders use single worksurface positions, and the test tube rack holders require two worksurface positions.

Pipette Tips
|
|
Beckman Coulter Pipette Tips are considered Automation Grade and are manufactured to stringent specifications
using quality control procedures that ensure straight, contamination-free and leak-proof pipette tips. Beckman Coulter Pipette Tips are required for use with Biomek Pipette Tools and Beckman Coulter Manual Pipettors. The P1000L Tool and the 200-1000 µL single-tip pipettor require P1000 pipette tips.
The MP20 and MP200 Tools require the Biomek FXP/NXP-style AP96 P20 and P250 tips respectively, and therefore need a special tip rack holder (P/N 391910) unique to the Biomek 3000 versus the regular Biomek 2000 tip rack holder. AP 96 Barrier tips reduce the possibility of sample cross-contamination from aerosols, and nonpyrogenic tips provide the ultimate in bacterial contamination control. All Beckman Coulter pipette tips are made of polypropylene.

Seal & Sample Plate Lids
|
|
Biomek Seal & Sample Aluminum Foil Lids* provide a unique solution for multiwell plate sealing. Made of special aluminum foil, cut from rolls of 3M tape #439 for a thickness of 0.0031 in., with a bioinert adhesive backing, Seal & Sample plate lids are provided in packages of 100 sheets presized for titer-plate sealing including multiwell, Deep-Well and Square-Well Titer Plates. Plates remain sealed at temperature extremes from -80°C to +130°C but are not compatible with DMSO.
These foil lids are designed to be easily punctured by automated or manually-operated pipette tips to remove sample material from plate wells. This feature eliminates the potential for aerosols and cross-contamination that can result when removing other types of plate-sealing lids. A rubber roller is also available for easy lid placement and to ensure complete plate sealing.
