DU® Series 700
UV/Vis Scanning Spectrophotometer

System Description
The DU Series 700 are complete and integrated scanning UV/Vis Spectrophotometers with a 3 nm spectral bandwidth. They are designed to offer an affordable solution for routine applications. The systems measure absorbance or %T over the entire UV/Vis range from 190 to 1100 nm and include a full complement of applications software. Interchangeable sampling modules and a variety of cell holders allow you to reconfigure the system in seconds. Choose from two models: the DU 720 "General Purpose" and the DU 730 "Life Science" System.
The DU Series 700 systems include:
- Single cell holder for 1 cm cuvette
- Built-in 16 mm test tube position
- Focused beam design for micro cuvettes

- Touch-screen user interface (graphical backlit LCD with 320 x 240 pixels)

Applications Software (DU 720 and DU 730):
- Fixed Wavelength (up to 4 wavelengths and concentration calculation with equations)
- Wavelength Scan with trace, peak/valley, integration, and overlay functions
- Kinetics/Time with calculation of rate/slope
- Single Component Analysis to calculate concentration of unknown samples
Additional Applications Software for DU 730 Life Science:
- Protein Assay Analysis for common protein assays
- Nucleic Acid Analysis with DNA, RNA, and oligo quantitation
- % Dye Incorporation for spotted array sample preparation
- DNA/Protein Tools provide common calculations, conversions, and tables from the microbiology handbook
The DU Series 700 is a customer-installed "Plug and Play" system that comes with a 1 year factory repair warranty; extended warranty programs are available.

nanoVette Microliter Measurement Cell
|

Allows your Beckman Coulter spectrophotometer to work with sample sizes as small as 0.7 µL. Perfect for DNA and Protein applications where small sample size is critical, the nanoVette provides the additional advantage of not requiring dilution of the sample. The same size as a standard cuvette, installs and removes simply into the DU spectrophotometer and measures dsDNA concentrations up to 5,000 ng/µL.
