The modular reservoir system holds liquids for pipetting with Biomek Pipette Tools and Beckman Coulter manual pipettors. Full reservoirs hold 150 mL and do not require a frame. Half and quarter reservoirs, with volumes from 18 mL to 75 mL, require the use of a Reservoir Frame. Each frame can accommodate up to four quarter reservoirs or two half reservoirs, or combinations thereof. All reservoirs are sterile and made of polypropylene.

Biomek Seal & Sample Aluminum Foil Lids provide a unique solution for multiwell plate sealing. Made of special aluminum foil with a bioinert adhesive backing, the foil lids are pre- sized for titer-plate sealing including Multiwell, Deep-Well and Square-Well Titer Plates. Plates remain sealed at temperature extremes from - 80ºC to +130ºC. Seal and Sample Foil Lids are designed to be easily punctured by automated or manually operated pipette tips to remove sample material from plate wells, eliminating the potential for aerosols and cross-contamination that can result when removing other types of plate-sealing lids. A rubber roller is also available for easy lid placement and to ensure complete sealing.

Square-Well Plates provide 2 mL nominal capacity per well in a 96-well format. Ideal for large volume applications such as receptor binding assays. For plate covers, use Biomek Seal & Sample Foil Lids (P/N 538619). Compatible with Beckman Coulter J6-MI High Capacity Centrifuge.

These multiwell plates are manufactured from specially formulated polystyrene and optimized for maximum protein binding with heterogeneous solid-phase assays such as ELISAs. For plate covers, use Biomek Seal & Sample Foil Lids (P/N 538619).

The 24-Place Rack allows the use of various-sized glass, polystyrene, polypropylene and polyallomer tubes, Microfuge® tubes and cryovials on the Biomek. To ensure proper tube fit, inserts must be used.

Note: Due to variations among manufacturers, tubes and cryovials should be measured prior to selecting an insert. Measure one inch from the tube bottom and select the insert with the appropriate diameter, or check for size using inserts from your starter kit.

Beckman Coulter Pipette Tips are manufactured to stringent specifications using quality control procedures that ensure straight, contamination-free and leak-proof pipette tips. Beckman Coulter Pipette Tips are required for use with Biomek Pipette Tools. The P20 and MP20 Tools require either the P20 or P250 pipette tips. The P200L and MP200 Tools require P250 pipette tips. The P1000L Tool requires P1000 pipette tips. Barrier tips reduce the possibility of sample cross-contamination from aerosols, and nonpyrogenic tips are used for endotoxin and other assays requiring the ultimate in bacterial contamination control. All Beckman Coulter pipette tips are made of polypropylene.

Deep-Well plates provide 1 mL nominal capacity per well in a 96-well format. An 8 X 12 cap cover is available for storage and incubation, or use the Biomek Seal & Sample Foil Lids (P/N 538619). Compatible with Beckman Coulter J6 centrifuges.
