On-column laser-induced fluorescence with auto-capillary alignment insures sensitive reliable detection. The Beckman Coulter WellRED dyes are excited to fluoresce in the infrared spectrum using 650 nm and 750 nm diode lasers. These lasers have a much longer life and are less expensive to replace than are traditional lasers. The CEQ™ 8000 software tracks the laser usage along with other elements such as gel usage and array life.
