SPRI technology is a simple and highly efficient means of
microbead-based nucleic acid isolation. Nucleic acids are immobilized onto
paramagnetic microparticles using specific buffer conditions. Sample
contaminants are easily removed without the need for centrifugation or filtration, creating an automation-friendly format.

Pure Technology
SPRI-TE uses Solid Phase Reversible Immobilization, or SPRI,
technology. Unlike systems that use silica-based particles, SPRI-TE features high-performance paramagnetic beads that produce highly robust, reproducible and efficent nucleic acid extraction results. The unique properties of our paramagnetic beads
eliminate the need for centrifugation or filtration, while enhancing stability
and binding capacity.

The increased performance of SPRI technology is the result
of the unique properties of the chemistry and microparticles used in the SPRI-based
reagent system. The key features that lead to better purification and overcome
the limitations of silica-based systems are:
- Uniform bead size enables highly reproducible results.
- Elution with aqueous solutions without the use of
chaotropic salts.
- Non-styrene polymer surface achieves low non-specific
binding.
- High surface area to mass ratio increases binding
capacity.
- Fast magnetic response time leads to rapid
purifications.
- Paramagnetic microparticles are easily automated with
no centrifugation minimizing sample contamination.
