Key Expert: Marc Turini, Ph.D.
After a PhD obtained in the field of the "Immunotherapy against the cancer" in 2014, Marc started to work for Beckman Coulter on the development of blood virus immunoassays. Marc was first involved for 2 years in the development of the Access HIV Ag/Ab combo assay. He then worked as Technical Leader to develop the Access HBsAg and Access Confirmatory assays.

Key Expert: Gaiané Demirdjian, Ph.D.
Director Research & Development, Beckman Coulter
Dr. Demirdjian received her Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Endocrinology from University of Aix-Marseille II for Biomedical Science (Marseille, France) followed by postdoctoral studies in Molecular Biology at National Institute of Research in Agriculture (INRA) (Avignon, France). She has been involved in many research projects in relation to new biomarkers in diagnostics and she has been working in the field for more than 23 years now. Prior to joining Beckman Coulter in 2014, Dr. Demirdjian held position of R&D manager of “Diagnostic Biomarkers” group at BRAHMS Thermo Fisher Scientific. Author or co-author of 12 peer reviewed scientific articles, and co-inventor of 7 patents, she demonstrated expertise in new biomarker discovery and their clinical validation, and commercial immuno-assay development within the fields of prenatal, thyroid, infertility, sepsis, and infectious disease diagnosis. She is currently R&D Director of Development Center of Excellence for Blood Viruses at Beckman Coulter Inc., Marseille (France).

Heather Read-Harper, Senior European Product and Marketing Manager

Heather has over 20 years of leadership experience in product lifecycle management and marketing within the medical diagnostics industry. For the past six years, she has overseen marketing strategies with proven success. She has led new product launches for high-profile projects by developing and executing go-to-market plans for Clinical Chemistry and Immunoassay in Europe. More recently she has expanded her responsibilities into urine analysis and hematology areas of the business. Her extensive industry knowledge and passion for innovation and optimized laboratory performance assure Beckman Coulter delivers tailored diagnostic solutions for hospitals, reference laboratories and physician office settings around Europe.
