Financial & Budgetary Guidance

Funding is provided by Beckman Coulter based on the fair market value (FMV) of the research services performed. Please note for Investigator Initiated Studies the following budgetary exclusions and caps:

  • Indirect Costs: Institutional overhead is capped at a maximum of 30%.
  • Salary Support: Personnel salary support may not exceed 50% of total time spent on the study.
  • Fringe Benefits: Funding cannot be used to support fringe benefits such as 401k, health insurance, or retirement contributions.
  • Incentives: Funding cannot support payments for patient recruitment or institutional incentives/bonuses.
  • Routine Care: Funding may not be used to support routine clinical operations.
