DxI 9000 Immunoassay Analyzer
Direct Sampling

Clinical laboratories manage a wide range of specimen types, including samples where available volume may be limited. The DxI 9000 Immunoassay Analyzer offers Direct Sampling as an optional workflow to help laboratories address these situations with greater flexibility, without changing their routine workflow for standard samples.

Direct Sampling is a software-enabled feature available on the DxI 9000 Immunoassay Analyzer that allows the instrument to aspirate sample directly from the insert or cup in the rack into a reagent shuttle reaction vessel for immediate processing. This approach bypasses the sample wheel for the selected rack and is designed for intentional use in low-volume scenarios, such as pediatric or otherwise limited specimens.

Eliminates system dead volume (no sample wheel RV dead volume) and sample overdraws when Direct Sampling is used

Samples processed directly from the rack

Intended for targeted use when volume matters, direct sampling tests are assigned the highest processing priority
