Julie Sawyer Montgomery
Beckman Coulter Diagnostics

In her role as President, Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, Julie Sawyer Montgomery leads our vision to advance healthcare for every person.

Prior to assuming this role in January 2020, Julie served as Senior Vice President, Products, Global Marketing and Developed Markets.

Julie joined Beckman Coulter in 2017 from Hospira Infusion Systems, a part of Pfizer, where she was President and held other progressive leadership roles including U.S. region president; Vice President, Global Marketing; and Vice President, International Sales. Prior to Hospira, Julie led marketing strategy for Boston Scientific’s cardiovascular division and supported Fortune 500 healthcare clients as a project leader at The Boston Consulting Group.

At Beckman Coulter, Julie has built on the company’s longstanding focus to deliver market-leading products and services by accelerating new product innovation and strengthening commercial execution.

Julie earned her Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University, a Master of Music from the Eastman School of Music and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.


Joe Repp

Joe Repp is President of MicroScan, Beckman Coulter Diagnostics Clinical Microbiology operating company.

Joe has been with Beckman Coulter Diagnostics since 2009 after joining us from Becton Dickinson where his career spanned 14 years. At Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, Joe has held important leadership roles in our Molecular and ImmunoAssay business as well as leadership assignments in global commercial and operation. He has successfully led our Microbiology business unit since 2015.

MicroScan leverages Beckman Coulter Diagnostics go to market channels, as microbiology remains an important element of our broad diagnostic strategy; focused on platform capabilities addressing serious healthcare challenges of infectious disease and sepsis. Connection with Beckman Coulter Diagnostics enables MicroScan to utilize important function and regional resource that enables accelerated growth.

Joe received a Management degree from Binghamton University and his M.B.A. from Suffolk University in Boston.


Sarah Moore
Senior Vice President
Developed Markets

Sarah joined us in 2018 and since then has done an outstanding job of accelerating our commercial improvement agenda in North and Latin America and Europe, including returning North America to core growth for the first time in five years. Sarah has brought great energy, focus and creativity to our North America commercial strategy, and is leading our efforts to enhance collaboration between sales and service to drive improved customer experience and retention. She has also been instrumental in driving a stronger articulation of the Beckman Coulter value proposition and is passionate about our associates and our customers.

Sarah brings years of commercial experience from Siemens Healthineers where she held various positions of increasing responsibilities, including both Commercial and Business Unit leadership roles, prior to joining Beckman Coulter Diagnostics. Sarah has a B.S. in Biochemistry from Loyola Marymount University.


Marianne Ovesen
Senior Vice President
Global Operations

Marianne joined Beckman Coulter as senior vice president of global operations in 2019. Previously, Marianne served as Vice President of Operations with Radiometer. She joined Radioemeter in 2008 as QA Manager and progressed to Director of QA before taking on the Operations role.

Marianne holds a Masters degree in Food Science from the University of Copenhagen.


Vibeke Holst-Andersen
Senior Vice President
Legal & General Counsel

Vibeke joined Beckman in June 2019 after more than six years as Radiometer VP Legal and General Counsel. She has also been the Diagnostics Platform Regional Counsel, Europe for three years and the Danaher Russia Counsel four years. Vibeke started her career with 8 years in private practice in Copenhagen, mainly focusing on litigation. Later she became in-house counsel and has experience as a GC in multi-national companies, among others within the diagnostic industry.

Vibeke is licensed to practice law in Denmark.


Noreen Galvin
Senior Vice President
Quality, Regulatory & Clinical Affairs

Noreen Galvin is SVP, Quality, Regulatory and Clinical Affairs for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics. She joined Beckman Coulter in 1995 and has held roles in various functions including R&D, European commercial operations, service, strategic marketing, product management and technical support. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and Biochemistry and Ph.D. in Microbiology, both from University College Dublin, Ireland.


Bernadette Duffy
Vice President
Global Service, DBS & Project Management

Bernadette (Bernie) Duffy is vice president, Global Service, DBS & Project Management. Bernie joined Beckman Coulter Dx in July 2015 and brings a wealth of experience managing service operations.

Bernie has a decade of significant DBS experience, starting with her roles in Tektronix (now a part of Fortive). At Tektronix, she led commercial and service teams; and at Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, Bernie has established a data-driven culture of accountability in global service by incorporating DBS tools into daily work. Her Project Management experience spans several critical projects, including her support of the Cepheid transition into Danaher.

Prior to joining Danaher, she was Marketing Director at Credence, based in Singapore. And before that, she held increasingly responsible roles with Agilent Technologies, based in Ireland and Germany.

Bernie holds a Master of Science in Chemistry from Kevin Street College, a Master of Science in Computer Science from Griffith College, and Master of Business Administration from University College Dublin.


Chris Hagen
Vice President
Global Marketing

Chris Hagen serves as the Vice President, Global Marketing for Beckman Coulter. In his role, Chris is focused on bringing Beckman Coulter’s innovative new products to market and partnering with hospital laboratories to enhance their ability to deliver meaningful impact to their patients. Chris joined Beckman Coulter in August 2017 as Vice President, Global Sales Enablement.

Prior to joining Beckman Coulter, Chris served as VP/Managing Director for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region of Hospira Infusion Systems, a Pfizer company. Earlier roles at Hospira include the EMEA Senior Marketing Director of the Medical Device business and the EMEA Commercial Finance Director.

Chris earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from West Virginia University.


Mickey Blanks
Senior Vice President
Human Resources & Communications

Mickey joined Beckman Coulter in 2017 from the Mosaic Company, where he led as Vice President, Human Resources for Commercial and Global Supply Chain. While at Mosaic, Mickey developed the global commercial sales incentive program and led talent and change management for the company’s five-year customer delivery strategy. Prior to Mosaic, he held HR positions of increasing responsibilities in various organizations, including IMI Cornelius, American Standard Brands and Unilever.

Mickey’s upbringing as the son of two U.S. military veterans influenced his “servant leadership” approach at work and in the community. He believes in the power of mentoring young professionals and volunteers with his wife and children for organizations like Habitat for Humanity and local nursing homes.

Mickey earned his Bachelor of Arts in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Kean University, a Master of Arts in Industrial and Labor Relations from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; and a Master of Business Administration from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.


Jianqing Bennett
Senior Vice President
High Growth Markets

Jianqing joined Beckman Coulter Diagnostics as senior vice president for high-growth markets in 2017. Previously, she was president of Carestream Health's medical digital business, where she led a 3,500-person organization in more than 40 countries, with three global research and development centers and manufacturing facilities in Israel, China and the United States.

She has an MBA from the University of Iowa's Tippie College of Business in Iowa City, Iowa, and a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering from Fudan University Shanghai Medical College in Shanghai, China.


Mark Kuhn
Senior Vice President and Group CFO
Diagnostics Platform

Mark rejoined Danaher/Cepheid on Jan 10, 2017 after taking some time off in 2012 and spent two years transitioning Cepheid into Danaher as CFO. In January of 2019, Mark moved to Brea in the DX Platform role and has since taken on daily duties at Beckman Dx as CFO. Prior to 2012, Mark worked for numerous Danaher/Fortive companies in a variety of Finance and Operations roles including Fluke, Fluke Networks, Videojet, Danaher Controls, Motion Group and Dental Group. He originally joined Danaher in the Corporate office in February 1991.


Kathleen Orland
Senior Vice President & General Manager
Clinical Chemistry and Immunoassay

Kathleen currently serves as Senior Vice President and General Manager for the Clinical Chemistry Immunoassay (CCIA) Business Unit, leading product strategy and new product development programs across eight global sites. Kathleen began her career journey at Beckman Coulter in 2005 as a Senior Product Manager for Immunoassay. Since then, Kathleen has contributed to our success in a variety of roles, including Director, Immunoassay Product Management; VP, Clinical Chemistry Immunoassay Product Management; VP, Danaher Business System and Global Marketing. Kathleen was instrumental in helping us define our customer value proposition and build launch excellence capability. Kathleen’s extensive industry knowledge and DBS expertise combined with her passion for innovation and solving customer problems drives the CCIA team meet their strategic goals.

Kathleen has a bachelor’s degree in microbiology from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and earned her Medical Technologist MT (ASCP) from NorthShore University HealthSystem in Evanston, Illinois.


Peter Soltani
Senior Vice President & General Manager
Hematology, Urinalysis & Workflow Information Technology Solutions

Dr. Peter Soltani, SVP and general manager of our Hematology, Urinalysis & WITS business unit, joined Beckman Coulter Diagnostics in 2016. Since then he has led the accelerated turnaround of our hematology business by bringing significant innovation to market, including the new DxH 900 and DxH 520 instruments and the revolutionary Early Sepsis Indicator.

Peter has been a key contributor to improving our standard work for New Product Development and product launch. Peter is responsible for the commercial success of our new automation offering, the DxA 5000, and charting an ambitious path toward Informatics leadership in the diagnostics industry.

Peter has a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from the University of Maryland.
