KEVIN O’REILLY

Kevin O’Reilly was appointed president of Beckman Coulter Diagnostics in 2023. He is driven by a passion for helping laboratories achieve excellence in their operations and empowering doctors with critical laboratory test results that change and save the lives of patients. His leadership is focused on growing the company’s business and rallying associates to win together in support of Beckman Coulter’s customers and mission to Relentlessly Reimagine Healthcare, One Diagnosis at a Time.

Kevin brings more than 30 years of experience accelerating and delivering innovation on a global scale within the healthcare industry. Before his current position, Kevin served as president of Radiation Oncology Solutions at Varian Medical Systems, where he was responsible for more than $3 billion in revenue and 6,500 associates worldwide. Under his leadership, the company’s market share grew across all regions and achieved world-class customer satisfaction.

Kevin holds an Honors diploma from the Technical University of Ireland and Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Trinity College.

MARIANNE OVESEN

KATHLEEN ORLAND

Kathleen Orland leads our strategy and innovation pipeline for new product development in Chemistry, Immunoassay, Hematology, Urinalysis, Automation and Clinical Informatics. She sets the vision to ensure products align with customer needs and business goals by developing and launching innovative products that drive company growth.

Kathleen joined Beckman Coulter in 2005 and since then has served in a variety of product development, Danaher Business System and Global Marketing leadership roles. Most recently she served as Senior Vice President, Clinical Chemistry Immunoassay and General Manager where she developed the innovation pipeline, launched DxI 9000 and Blood Virus, and our Novel Biomarker Strategy including Neurodegenerative Disease and Host Response to Infection. Kathleen’s expertise and passion for innovation and solving customer problems drives her teams to deliver successful products throughout their lifecycle. 

Kathleen holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and earned her Medical Technologist MT (ASCP) from NorthShore University HealthSystem in Evanston, Illinois.

ERIC KOLODZIEJ

Eric Kolodziej oversees direct and distributed quality, regulatory, and clinical affairs professionals worldwide at Beckman Coulter, ensuring our services and products meet regulatory requirements, quality standards, and clinical effectiveness.

Before joining Beckman Coulter, Eric held key leadership positions at companies including Roche Diagnostics, Perrigo Company and most recently, Hologic, Inc. where he served as the Corporate Vice President, Global Head of Quality & Regulatory Affairs.

Eric holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Valparaiso University, an Executive Master of Business Administration in Finance and a PhD in Analytical Medicinal Chemistry from Purdue University.

TOM NEUFELDER

Tom Neufelder leads Beckman Coulter’s technology vision, strategy, and plans for growth, including monitoring technology trends, identifying opportunities to drive technological advancement, and sharing best practices across business units.

Prior to joining Beckman Coulter in 2021, Tom served as Chief Technology Officer for MaxQ AI which develops artificial intelligence and machine learning applications for detection of intracranial hemorrhage. Tom has held numerous senior executive positions at various companies including Philips Healthcare and GE Healthcare. He brings more than 35 years of experience in engineering and product development to his role at Beckman Coulter.

Tom holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.

JAMIE PHARES

Jamie Phares leads direct and distributed teams of sales and support professionals located across our high-growth market region.  

Before joining Beckman Coulter Diagnostics in 2023, Jamie spent nearly two decades with Johnson & Johnson’s medical device and pharmaceutical divisions. In her most recent role, Jamie served as Managing Director and Vice President at Janssen Pharmaceuticals GCC, where she was credited with accelerating access to innovation, advancing external partnerships and improving profitability. 

Jamie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and her Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. 

TOM COFFMAN

Tom Coffman oversees the company’s finance and information technology operations. 

Tom joined Danaher Corporation in 2007, following a 13-year career at Ernst & Young. At Danaher, Tom has held various leadership roles at Danaher Corporate, Beckman Coulter and Phenomenex. He is a proven global finance leader with a demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategies that create sustainable competitive advantage and deliver results.

Tom holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Maryland.

KETAN DESHPANDE

Ketan Deshpande drives global Danaher Business System (DBS) capability and continuous improvement across Beckman Coulter to build our competitive advantage. 

Ketan joined Danaher in April 2023 through the Operations and Supply Chain Leadership Program. Before joining Danaher, Ketan held key leadership positions at Integer Holdings Corporation, Trelleborg (Quadion LLC), Ambit Inc., Watson and Marlow and multiple private equity companies. 

Ketan holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Pune University, Pune, India.

MARIANNE HELSTRUP

Marianne Helstrup oversees a global team of associates in compliance and business ethics, risk management, intellectual property and transactional legal. 

Marianne joined Danaher in 2019 as General Counsel and Vice President of Legal at Radiometer. Prior to joining Danaher, Marianne held various leadership roles in the legal function at Lundbeck, a leading Danish pharmaceutical company specializing in neurologic and psychiatric diseases. Before Lundbeck, Marianne had a private practice career, primarily focusing on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and litigation.

Marianne holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Copenhagen and is licensed to practice law in Denmark.
