A Better CBC For You And Me
Role for MDW Parameter in ED-Based Sepsis Diagnosis
Watch recording from ACEP panel discussion led by Dr. Phillip Levy from Wayne Health discussing the novel hematological parameter MDW (Monocyte Distribution Width) and hear the latest evidence on how the MDW biomarker is being used to aid in severe infection and risk of sepsis diagnostics in adult patients in the ED. MDW is available as a part of the CBC with Differential test, which is already routinely utilized as an early screening test for a variety of conditions, making MDW uniquely suitable in the ED setting.
Dr. Nima Sarani from Kansas University Medical Center will review recent clinical evidence and the implications of these results for U.S. standards of patient care and present practical aspects of MDW utility in clinical practice across patient presentations in his institution.
